MAKE UP ROUND vs BLACKTOWN THIS WEEKEND
Unless the weather goes crazy, we’ll finally be playing Round 4 this
weekend against Blacktown at Boronia. They’re just above us on the club
championships, so a good chance for all of the seconds, thirds and fourths
to ram home their semi finals positions, and firsts to get a good upset!
It’s now TEN wins in a row for fourth grade, and in second grade, Blacktown
are only two points ahead sitting in fourth
position – make sure you give all the boys, but especially 2’s
your support as they go for a semi’s spot.
RESULTS vs PETERSHAM
Good wins to second, third and fourth grades this weekend. Another
loss for firsts and unfortunately this meant Petersham picked up the Tony
Brunsdon Cup this year. Here’s how we washed up on the scoreboards:
1st Grade: Petersham 20 df Hunters Hill 5

2nd Grade: Hunters Hill 17 df Petersham 14

BLEDISLOE CUP AT THE PIER THIS SATURDAY
The first BLEDISLOE CUP test match kicks off this Saturday, at 7.30pm. We’ll
all be kicking on watching the game at the Pier after speeches on Saturday.
We had quite a few guys down there last week – let’s get more this
week to cheer on the Wallabies!
FIVE ROUNDS TO GO: SEMI FINALS SPOTS ON THE CARDS
We’ve got three teams in line for semis spots at the moment:
Second grade (fifth on the table – by TWO points!)
Third grade (third on the table)
Fourth grade (second on the table)
We need to keep the momentum up and the wins coming! There’s not long
to go now and all the teams are hitting their stride…
TRIVIA NIGHT SATURDAY AUGUST 2
Trivia night is back for another year next weekend on Saturday August 2.
The cost is $30 on the door, and includes finger food for the evening as well
as the hilarious evening of fun that is a trivia night.
This year promises to be even bigger and better, with rounds of action-packed
trivia questions, bonus rounds and games, stand up comedian, raffles, auctions,
lucky door prizes.
Plus, by registering a table of eight in advance, you’ll only have to
pay for seven people. To pre-register your team, you will need to email Danielle
Cliff here with a list of eight
names, and then pay for seven on the door on the evening. To RSVP in advance

Still places left on the very memorable Byron Bay Sevens end of season tour.
This year we’re touring as the Skunks. Yes, Doddsy is going.

END OF SEASON BUS TRIP AND AFTER-PARTY
We’re out at Blacktown in Round 18 – we’ll be taking a bus
out and partying at the Pier (and celebrating some semi’s places). Tell
the missus you’re taking the night off now.
