The Hunters Hill Rugby Union Club is now preparing for the 2007 season and would like to inform you about several key dates, events and developments that we have secured for the season.
We are very pleased to announce that Jason Williams has been appointed to the position of First Grade coach for the 2007 season. Jason is a former rugby league international player, having played several tests for New Zealand . He will be assisted by Wayne Africa who brings to the club a wealth of experience from playing in the South African Rugby Union competitions before moving to Australia .
We have now confirmed the dates for the commencement of pre-season training, as well as the dates and venue for preseason trials.
Training will officially begin at Boronia Park from Tuesday Feb. 6 at 6.30pm , and will continue every Tuesday and Thursday night.
We have also confirmed three trial matches, all to be played at the Hunters Hill High School . They will commence on Saturday March 17 th and continue on the 24 th and 31 st of March.
In the meantime however, social touch continues every Wednesday night from 6.30pm at Boronia Park for all of those who cannot wait until February to begin training.
We will have our registration tables open at every training session from February 6 until the commencement of the season on Saturday April 7. We hope to see you there in February.
Currently Boronia Park , our home ground, is being renovated. The Juniors Rugby Club has funded a complete overhaul of the three grounds at Boronia Park , with both number one and number two fields to be resurfaced with the highest quality turf, and irrigated with an underground irrigation system. This involves installing a huge underground tank and drilling a 200m bore to water the grounds twice a week.
The number three oval will also be renovated to be a playing-quality ground. It means that Hunters Hill will have the best quality grounds in all of the sub-district competition for the 2007 and facilities that are not matched in all of Subbies.

Tuesday Feb 6 - pre-season training commences, Tues and Thurs nights weekly, from 6.30pm
Saturday March 17 - Trial match 1 at Hunters Hill High
Saturday March 24 - Trial match 2 at Hunters Hill High
