		20th MARCH 2007 SECOND TRIAL MATCHES THIS SATURDAY TThe second trial matches are on this Saturday, at Hunters Hill High School from 1pm. We are playing against Redfield, and the Parramatta U19s club. Make sure you are there from 1pm for the first matches, as there is no selection policy for the trials - first in, first served! Hunters Hill High School is on either Mount Street, or Reiby Rd, Hunters Hill, on the other side of the overpass over Burns Bay Road to the Gladesville Bridge map. We need some volunteers to help out with the BBQ and with running the touch lines - please email Will at will_wassell@unwired.com.au to offer to help out. THE PIER ANNOUNCED AS HOTEL SPONSOR FOR 2007 We are pleased to announce that we have now signed a sponsorship agreement with the Woolwich Pier Hotel as our hotel sponsor for the 2007 season. We will be having all of our speeches and functions there this year, including team dinners and drinks and cheap steaks after training. We have negotiated a performance-based deal with them, so it is important that you support your rugby club by supporting our sponsor. We're all very pleased to have the Pier on board for 2007 as it's a great venue and we believe there are some great nights of 'bonding' ahead of us for 2007. BALLY STANDS UP Self-confessed laugh machine Andy Ball has secured a gig performing live stand-up on-stage @ the Roxbury Hotel in Glebe (182 St John's Road) on Wednesday nite (21st March). So if you can get down to support one of our own come along - get there @ 7:30 to get a seat and get ready to laugh. Or cry. STORMERS AT TRAINING On Thursday 15 March Hunters Hill Rugby had a guest training session run by the coaching staff of the Stormers Super 14 Rugby team, from South Africa. Though the club’s South African connection, forwards coach Wayne Afrika, the forwards coach and the manager of the Stormers team came to Hunters Hill training on Thursday night and ran the club in a combined session. Over 60 players from Hunters Hill turned up to gain the experience of international rugby here and we're hoping it will be the first in an annual arrangement with the Stormers. Incidentially, the Stormers kicked the Waratahs on Saturday night. Must have been tips picked up from Hillies.
