- FINAL ROUND v BLUE MOUNTAINS
- SEMI FINALS FOR SECONDS AND THIRDS THIS WEEKEND
- DRINKS AT THE PIER AFTERWARDS
- UPCOMING DATES
RESULTS v BLUE MOUNTAINS
Not much luck ion the games on the weekend, with all teams going down.
Seconds were the closest, losing by a late drop goal to be pipped for
second place on the ladder.
However, we've now got two teams through for the semi finals - the
first time the club has had a team in the semi finals since fourth
grade won the premiership in 2005.
Seconds have progressed in third position to the minor semi final of
the Farrant Cup, only missing out on the major semi final and a second
chance in the semi final series by one point on the competition table.
The narrow loss to second-placed Blue Mountains on the weekend, 9-8,
indicates just how little they missed out on the major semi-final by.
Thirds qualified in fourth place for the semi finals, equal to Waverley
on competition points but behind on for and against. They also had a
close game on the weekend, losing 12-0 to Blue Mountains, who took out
the minor premiership in third grade this season.
And it's the end of the road for firsts and fourths, ending up eighth
and sixth on their respective ladders. Next season!
The results:
First grade: Blue Mountains 41 df Hunters Hill 26
Coach's points: 3 - Julian Arndt; 2 - Levi Dodd; 1 - Terry Dodd
Second grade: Blue Mountains 9 df Hunters Hill 8
Coach's points: 3 - Matt Lane; 2 - Brett Towers; 1 - Mark Bramble
Third grade: Blue Mountains 12 df Hunters Hill 0
Coach's points: 3 - Tim Dodds; 2 - Renny Isles; 1 - Shane Marchant
Fourth grade: Blue Mountains 48 df Hunters Hill 7
Coach's points: 3 - Craig Moss; 2 - Thomas Cunniowski; 1 - Oswald Lee
