HHunters Hill 1st Grade kept up their unbeaten home record in tact on Saturday, defeating UWSH 39-10 in the NSW Suburban Division 3 Competition Match at. Boronia Park.
Prop Andy Johnson and Flank Colman Taylor made the most of their 1st Grade re-calls, both part of a forward pack which dominated the set piece all game, getting good clean ball out to a backline full of pace.
Although going down by 3 points early on, Hunters got straight back into the game through Dan Casa scoring in the corner. Alex Light, Burzin Mehta both grabbed a try each, Matt Lane scored two, and Dan Casa made it four tries in two games, adding another to his tally. Sam Henry was once again clinical with his boot, adding 9 points.
The result leaves the Hunters Hill 1st Grade 2nd in the ladder , but level on points with Merrylands who stay top.
It was a good day all round, with 2nd Grade winning 30-8, prop Brian Walker grabbed two tries. 3rd Grade kept up their winning run, thumping their opponents 60-0and 4th grade remain unbeaten winning 17-7.
The results leaves Hunters Hill top of the club championship by 192 points. This weekend Blacktown travel to Boronia Park with 1st Grade kicking off at 3.15pm. video more
