18th September 2009 - Presentation Night

Hunters Hill celebrated a fantastic year at the 2009 presentation night last Friday. The Hunters Hill Sailing Club housed over 130 guests to commend the teams and players of the Club Championship winning club.

Hosted by Club Captain Jules Arndt, the evening was a complete success. Guests were treated to a three course meal whilst highlights from the season were shown on a 4 metre screen, showing some of the best tries, kicks and moments from 2009.

Club President Rod Salmon had this to say 'The presentation night was fitting finale to a great season. The AV presentation produced by Dave Weston with assistance form Jules was better than the "Oscars" and Jules presenter skills were remarkable. Thanks to Danielle for organising the catering. Grovesy, Wookey and Panda did a great job on the bar. All in all it certainly was a night that will be talked about for many years to come. Congratulations to the award winners. It was fantastic to see such a large attendance and the positive vibe towards 2010 was especially encouraging- I think the catch cry for next season and the new opportunities is "Bring it on"'

The winners varied from all Grades, with each teams achievements applauded. The big winner of the night was Sam Henry, who took home the Top points scorer, Kick of the Season, 1st Grade Best and Fairest and All Grades Best and Fairest.

Thanks to everybody for a wonderful night, and bring on pre-season and Division 2 rugby in 2010.
