It was night and people had hats and the hats were mad. Lucky it was Mad Hat Night.

On a windswept evening coupled with torrential rain that turned Boronia park into Boronia Pool a hardy troupe of celebrants ventured to the higher reaches of the grandstand to have a hat off. 'Lemonades' were offered around as the theme food for the night bubbled away on the electicalized barbeque.

Hats of note included a Construction zone hard hat equipped with double lemonade holder, Newspaper admiral hat plastered with inner west escort agency info, pair of shorts, Filthy purple pimp hat and eventual winner, girly purple Harry Potter witches hat (Geeves). Mexican Hat Dance Theme Food was dished up - Nachos including a Beanie reference (beans). Tip - Don't freeze sour cream, it stuffs it. Next theme night is 1st July - Opening of the Ski Season/Yule Fest.
